The hard work paid off as we received the finished product December 1st and it soon was in the hands of all those who wanted Christmas gifts. We rolled up our sleeve asked for the Lord's blessings and off to work we went. The problem was it was already August and that left 12 weeks to arrange and record the songs before going to press. Our first CD was so successful there was a calling for Christmas carols in our style with orchestration and we thought this most fitting. With the Christmas season soon approaching the CD sold like wildfire and was found wrapped under many a Christmas tree. Glad Tidings a collection of wonderful Christmas hymns was released December 1 st, 2011. You're going to love the fresh new arrangements and the relaxing traditional melody blended together for an inspirational experience. We chose to orchestrate most of the songs because the moving strings of the orchestra really complimented our sound.
After playing for church and giving programs in the area we took our favorite hymns and inspirational songs and began the process of recording. A year in the making and worth every minute. Almost HomeĪlmost Home was released summer of 2009 and picked up by Chapel Records (which was very exciting in itself). Here's the exciting part! We have worked this pasted year on two very ambitious projects: "Almost Home" and "Glad Tidings" our first CD's. After playing individually in various groups, we came together and found that we all enjoyed the same type and style of music - a unique sound developed from the combination of musical instruments, the choice of older hymns, unique musical arrangements and all fully orchestrated. We are all members of the SDA church in Sonora, CA and regularly participate in the music worship program. HeartStrings has been playing together for over four years and not only do we enjoy playing music but it seems others enjoy listening as well.
